A Day Out in Vlissingen and Surroundings
What a wonderful day! Lisa and I decided to rent bikes and explore Vlissingen at our own pace. With the fresh sea breeze in our faces and the sun breaking through the clouds, we began our adventure along the beautiful boulevard and through the dunes.
Exploring the Boulevard Together
We pedaled slowly toward the Vlissingen boulevard. The massive ships passing close to the shore were an impressive sight. We took a short break at a cozy terrace and enjoyed a cup of coffee and a traditional Zeeuwse bolus.
Heading Into the Dunes
After our break, we continued cycling toward the dunes of Walcheren. The winding bike paths led us through stunning nature and offered breathtaking views of the North Sea. On top of a high dune, we stopped for a moment to take it all in. “Look how endless the sea seems,” Lisa said, as we both stood in silence to soak in the view.
Along the way, we passed a beach pavilion and decided to hop off for a refreshing drink.
